Breathe, Live and Laugh

Morning monsters. They say that the best writers are often the ones who are the worst people persons. They hide away being all creative, shun their loved ones, and lived tortured beautiful lives in their minds thus producing great masterpieces. Masterpieces that we are then forced to read and write about in high school and if you go to college they force more of it down your throat so you can really appreciate Literature. Did you know that a large percentage of those great writers died either from suicide, drug abuse, or a tragic illness. All of them died without ever knowing that 16 year old students across the globe would be forced to dissect their writing for every morsel of meaning. Why am I telling you this? Its a warning. Don't shut yourself away during the Between.

Yes, you will find that you have more time to yourself. Yes, a lot of voices will be silenced while you and God are working on you. Yes, your tired, your dealing with some things, you have issues but don't shut yourself away. Wherever you are, even if your in a place you don't like you have to live. God has removed people from your life, mainly the ones that were not speaking good into it. He has removed the ones whose voices you always turned to for advice, only so that you can turn to Him. He has removed others who may be in a Between situation themselves. But monster, you are not alone. God will also bring new voices into your life. New people will pop up to make your journey easier. You will be tempted to ignore them, to shy away from them because right now you are a mess, don't. These are divine connections.

God did not make us to be alone. When we are alone we only focus on Self. When we focus on Self we become self-ish, self-centered, self- concerned, self-pitying, self-absorbed. When we focus on others we become more like Jesus.  When you stop looking at your self you can see others. You can fill a need, offer help, give love and support, bless another. By reaching out and living, getting to know the new people God is sending into your life, you can heal you. God knows the deeper issues that you are working on. He knows the insecurities you are feeling. He knows you have trust issues, abandonment issues, love issues, selfish issues, shallow issues, to the point He knows your issues. He has sent these people into your life to help you deal with those issues. They might not be a therapist (even though you may clearly need one) but they will help you, through friendship, to get over those issues. God is awesome.

So I know it is hard, all your junk has been pulled from the closet and you are working on your mess, but take a break. Breathe, and more importantly live now, so that when you get to the Next you have a new friend to take with you.

I gotta go, I have a play date. Enjoy your weekend.
